Wassail Wreaths Workshop

It's wassail season, when we gather to celebrate and bless our orchards for the year ahead. This workshop is a chance to make some headdress wreaths for you and the family to wear at your local wassail! We'll use natural materials such as hazel and dogwood stems, evergreen trees, dried seedheads and fluffy wild clematis gathered from Ham Hill and Yeovil Country Park. No need to bring anything apart from £8 in cash please (we don't have change) and gloves if you'd like to wear them.

This is an event for adults and we'll be outdoors in the fresh air unless the weather is bad in which case we'll be inside the Rangers' Centre. So wrap up warm and meet us at the Rangers' Centre by 1pm when we'll get going. We have the perfect place to wear your headdresses the following week: the Wonderful Wassail and Countryside Crafts afternoon at Yeovil Country Park's Summerhouse Orchard on Thursday 20th February!

We look forward to seeing you at Ham Hill for a relaxed afternoon of craft, learning about wassail traditions whilst weaving with natural materials.
