Indian Block Printing with Clare Walsh

A day exploring colour, repeat patterns, and design at Barrington Court.

You will learn about this traditional craft and the block printing process with photographs and examples of block printed fabrics.  Using hand carved Indian Blocks, you will experiment with pattern repeat, overlapping designs and colour variations on papers. 

In the afternoon you will choose to print a bag, tea towel or piece of cotton fabric using your favourite blocks.
