Neil and Emma Macdonald are happy to welcome you back for wassailing in their barn and outside at Orchard Park Farm – and after last year's memorable frolics, this time we will move on to a ceilidh. A ceilidh or barn dance is great fun for all the family.
The word Wassail probably comes from the Old English ‘Waes thu hael’, meaning ‘be you well’ and harks back to a tradition of visiting neighbours to well-wish at the turn of the year. So we invite you to join us again for the Wassail this year to give our village apple trees - and another year as a community - a hale and hearty start.
From 5.30pm; drink, the ceremony, (remember to wrap up warm and bring pots and pans to bang!) Then there’s hot food, more drinks, music and dancing in the barn.
