Wassail: At The Chapel
WASSAIL
20th January 2024 at 5:00pm
Join us to celebrate and learn more about traditional Wassail At the Chapel. This ceremony, traditionally held on Twelfth Night, is intended to wake the apple trees form their winter slumber, chase away evil spirits and ensure a bountiful harvest. We’ll have our very own tree on the terrace to bless and toast, and we’ll be singing and dancing with the help of Wild Moon Morris. Apple juice and hot mulled Dowding’s cider included. Fun for all the family. Pot clattering, drum banging and pan bashing very welcome! (Please feel free to bring your own pans)
Hail apple tree! Hail good health! Wassail! Wassail!
