The medieval village of Dunster is probably one of the best conserved in the country. It is the setting for the wonderful Dunster by Candlelight event which takes place on the first Friday and Saturday of December every year
Overlooked by Dunster Castle whose origins go back 1,000 years. Dunster village has a wealth of history to discover, including the iconic Yarn Market, the remains of a Benedictine priory, a Working Watermill, Packhorse Bridge and Iron Age settlements. (Please note there are no cashpoints in the village)
