Stars over Somerset, 8th November
Have you ever found yourself gazing up at the night sky, pondering why stars appear to move or wondering what other mysteries are hiding in the depths of space? Maybe you have considered astronomy as a hobby or even already have a telescope tucked away in a cupboard.
The evening is led by experienced local astronomer and lecturer, Adrian Dening, who records a weekly astronomy programme that is broadcast by Radio Ninesprings and Apple FM. Following an informative talk on general astronomy and observing tips, we will be venturing outside to conduct our own adventure into space.
Our “special guest” for the evening will be a large piece of the Campo del Cielo meteorite that crashed into Argentina over 4000 years ago!
