Quedam History Walk- the tale of Yeovil’s largest ever construction project

On the 15th of October, join us on the Church green, in Yeovil's bustling centre, as we explore the history of the Quedam Shopping Centre.

Did you know that the development of the Quedam was the largest construction project in Yeovil's history? Do you have memories of the town before it's construction? Have you ever wondered down and explored gems like Yeovil Art Space?

Museum pieces of photographs will of course be shown for context as we wander along.

This walk will likely take about 2 hours along a flat paved route. It will be led by Joseph Lewis; Heritage Coordinator at the South Somerset Heritage Collection, and Edd Chilcott, Community Ranger for the Somerset Council Countryside Team.

Cost £8.00

Booking essential - To book please email Edward.Chilcott@somerset.gov.uk  with the number of places you require and a contact phone number.  We will check the availability and confirm your place. Payment needs to be made by cash on the day please. We will respond to all emails, please check 'junk mail' if you haven't received a reply. Meet outside St John the Baptist Church, BA20 1HE.
