Tractor and Steam Train Day
Tractor and Steam Train Day using Peckett 0-4-0 'Pectin' to give train rides along the 1/3rd mile of the ex-Great Western Railway Clifton Maybank branch. Passengers travel in our coach which is accessible via ramp for standard size Wheelchair and other users will be in use.
This weekend is our annual Tractor & Train event (actually expanded from one day due to popularity!!). Got a Tractor/Land Rover/ Static Engine etc you would like to bring we would love to hear from you! Please email yeovilrailway@hotmail.com or phone John on 01297 32935
Pre-booking will not be necessary for this event and please pay at the gate.
Trains at 11.00am, 11.20am, 11.40am 12.20pm, 12.40pm 1.50pm, 2.10pm, 2.45pm, 3.10pm and 3.30pm. Turntable demonstrations at 12noon and 2.30pm.
(Gate open at 10.30am and train rides start at 11.00am. Last admission 3.15pm).
Other planned attractions include a Shop, Light Refreshments, Model Railway, and exhibits and displays (including the Chard Signalling Panel).
Also visiting will be Southern Armour Group with their large scale Model Tanks and other vehicles.
Admission (including Steam Train ride £12.10 adult for those UK taxpayers eligible and willing to add a voluntary donation to enable us to claim valuable Gift Aid (your admission is then worth £14.52), otherwise £11.00 adult, Children £6.05 (Gift Aid) otherwise £5.50 (aged (5-15)) whilst children under 5 and members are admitted free. More details will be given on arrival.
One Child (aged (5-15)) is admitted FREE with a full paying adult.
