Dr Lucy Pollock trained in medicine at Cambridge and at Bart’s Hospital and worked as a junior doctor in East London before moving to Somerset, where since 2001 she has been a consultant specialising in the care of those who are frail and elderly.
The author of ‘The Book About Getting Older: dementia, finances, care homes and everything in between‘, this was described by Sandy Toksvig as ‘The most important book about the second half of your life you’ll ever read.’ The amusing, informative and compassionate talk is not just for those who are already elderly, but also for those who are approaching their later years or caring for someone who is.
