Busking Festival
A Weekend Celebration of Community Creativity.
Saturday September 23rd we’ll have buskers delighting us through the town. You can visit the Somerset Art Weeks studios, Wick Farm, Heron House and Newtown cottage. You could book a ride on The Duchess of Cocklemoor, Langports’ solar powered boat. Visit Shakspeare Glass, paint some pottery at The Kiln and enjoy the shops and cafes of our sleepy backwater. If you stick around you can enjoy supper and a lovely ticketed evening event from ‘Joe and The Temperance Two’ at 6 pm at The Bridge Bakery- click here to check their website for information and tickets.
Sunday September 24th bring all the family and fly your kites on Cocklemoor. From 10.00 am There will be stalls, Kite making activities, family fun, performances and buskers (of course). Fanny Hatstand is taking over The Angel Pub for the day with food, drink, games and a Homemade Chutney Competition so bring yours along …..courgette we assume ?! Prizes at 3pm.
To round off the weekend and to kick of Fanny’s season of Americana Antics, you can jump about and jiggle a lot to Stomping Dave and The Clay Bottom Jug Busters who are playing a double headliner ticketed gig at 4 pm get your tickets here pre- order your Sunday supper and we’ll all be home by 7pm ready for school in the morning.
