Cable Street Collective. A ‘Chance to Dance’ Event
Cable Street Collective. A ‘Chance to Dance’ Event.
London’s Cable Street Collective have been favourites on the festival circuit since the release of their first EP, The Best of Times, in 2014, and have built up a stellar reputation as a live band, playing Glastonbury, Boomtown, Latitude, Secret Garden Party, Bestival, The Isle of Wight Festival, and the Lake of Stars Festival (Malawi).
Their second EP, Where Now From Here? (2018) earned them critical plaudits and radio play on BBC Radio 6Music, Radio X and Amazing Radio, among others. All three of the singles released from Battle Lines so far have enjoyed support from BBC Radio 6Music.
Their sound mixes African-influenced guitars and beats with soulful female vocals, socially conscious lyrics and western melodies, creating an idiosyncratic alt-pop sound that’s all their own. Their sets are guaranteed to get everyone to their feet.
