Concert: Lucy Farrell and Andrew Waite

Lucy and Andrew first met while performing with the award-winning ‘Eliza Carthy and the Wayward Band’ (‘Best Band in Europe’, Songlines). At the end of those tours, they fostered their close bond throughout the coming years to not only remain close friends, but also to encourage each other’s musical passions.

Finding an international audience among artists such like the Unthanks and the Weather Station, 2017 ‘BBC Radio 2 Folk Award’ winner Lucy Farrell is not only awarded as a renowned composer and singer, but also as a viola, fiddle and tenor guitar player.

‘BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year’ finalist and ‘Up and Coming Act of the Year’ (Na Trads) nominee Andrew Waite is well established as one of the UK’s most accomplished accordion players.
