Songs for These Distracted Times. Concert by Yeovil Chamber Choir - in support of Ukraine

This programme in the penitential season of Lent celebrates the life of Thomas Tomkins, regarded often as a rather serious and reactionary composer, who lamented the “state of things” in the dark Tudor times in which he lived.

There are many parallels with contemporary life, and it feels appropriate now to dedicate this performance to the support of what will come to be seen as a major humanitarian crisis for the innocent citizens of Ukraine.
