Wacky Rafts at Chard Reservoir LNR

Fancy building your own miniature wooden raft? How about having a wacky raft race to see if yours is the fastest on the water?               

Meet us down by the stream in Rushy Meadow to construct your own raft from storm damaged wood while learning about the history of the reservoir, Chard Canal and our boathouse.                     

On top of all that, you can have a go at Hapa Zome - the ancient Japanese art form of leaf printing, which will allow you to learn more about the flowers and plants that grow in the nature reserve at this time of year.

Aimed at ages 4-16 years.

All children must be accompanied by adults.
