Beautiful Bats

Join the rangers for an evening stroll around Chard Reservoir Nature Reserve to discover the fascinating world of bats. Learn about the ecology and behaviour of these nocturnal mammals and discover which species are found at the reserve. We will use bat detectors to help us identify which ones are flying around us.

This guided bat walk is suitable for adults and children aged 12 and older.

Please meet us in Oaklands Car Park (TA20 1HU) for the start of the event. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing for the outdoors.

We would advise you to bring your own torch as it will be dark at the end of the walk.

Dogs are not allowed at this event.

If you have any accessibility requirements please do contact us in advance of booking a place. The walk takes place over fairly level ground but the terrain can be uneven.

Booking essential, all children must be accompanied by an adult.
