Chard Reservoir Nature at Night
Join the countryside rangers to discover the secretive life of bats and other nocturnal mammals that live at Chard Reservoir Nature Reserve. You will learn about bats around a campfire whilst listening to some batty stories. What do bats eat? Where do they sleep? Why do they only come out at night? We will then use bat detectors to go in search of these nocturnal mammals and listen to them as they fly around the night sky.
Please meet us in Oaklands Car Park (TA20 1HU) for the start of the event. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing for the outdoors.
This event is aimed at families and children aged 4 – 12 years old. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
We would advise you to bring your own torch.
Booking essential.
