Discover Chard Reservoir's creepiest, crawliest creatures with the first of 4 ranger-led toddler/small children's groups. Meet at the Anglers Carpark near Chard Reservoir for a morning of bug based exploration!

Walk down to the play zone for a short story time.

Catch and release flying insects in the Chard Reservoir meadows using a sweep net, see how many different types you can find.

Once you have seen the bright and brilliant life in the meadow vegetation, why not make your own creepy crawly out of clay and twigs, and find a home for your beasties in the undergrowth. (bug seed bomb)

Finally, create your very own bug hotel to take home with you! Stuff a pot or loop of string full of sticks, leaves and bits of bark to create a home for wildlife that you can take away with you.

Booking is essential for these dates, email Edd (edward.chilcott@somerset.gov.uk) with the number of children's spaces you require. Suitable for children 2-5 years old. Payment- £6 per child booked on, to be paid in cash on the day. Parents/Guardians to attend alongside their children.
