Walking with Bats at Yeovil Country Park

Join the rangers for a walk around Ninesprings to learn about bat ecology and how the rangers manage the country park with bats in mind.  The walk will use bat detectors to listen out for bats in the woods as it gets dark. The walk will culminate at the lake in Ninesprings where, hopefully, the bats will put on a fantastic display.

Due to the lateness of this walk, this event is suitable for children aged 12 years and older. There will be a similar event for younger children in the school summer holidays. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Unfortunately, this walk is not suitable for people with mobility issues as it takes in steep slopes and steps as we walk around the woods at Ninesprings. There will be an accessible bat walk on the 26th of July.

Cost £8 adult £6 child (aimed at children 12+)

Booking essential - To book please email countryside@somerset.gov.uk with the number of places you require and a contact phone number.  We will check the availability and confirm your place.
