World Bee Day Celebrations!
Did you know that bumblebees have smelly feet? Or that they evolved in the Himalayas? Celebrate World Bee Day at Ham Hill on Saturday 18th May!
There are over 250 species of bee in the UK, and Ham Hill’s grasslands and meadows are valuable habitat for our beautiful buzzing pollinator friends! Come on up to Ham Hill to learn more about these fascinating insects. We’ll show you how to catch bees to get a closer look at their colours and patterns, and teach you how to identify them. Make a seed bomb to take home and attract these wonderful creatures to your garden!
Aimed at families with children aged 4 and over. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
No need to book, just turn up between 12pm and 3pm! Find us outside the Ham Hill Rangers’ Office. Free to attend, but suggested donation of £2 towards future events.
